If your developer has signed up to the NHQB code of practice your able to book a pre-completion inspection. We carry these out inline with the NHQB checklist and produce a clear annotated report for you to pass to your developer.
It is important to note that as part of the pre-completion inspection some equipment such as drones and levels are not permitted and some developers limit our time inside a property.

This is our most popular inspection. We are able to take our time with this inspection and go into more depth in comparison to a pre-completion inspection. We carry out our inspection in relation to both building control standards and warranty provider standards. We are able to use advanced equipment such as a drone, digital self-calibrating levels and lasers. You are welcome to be at home during the inspection or if you needed to go to work we can arrange to post a spare key once we have completed our inspection.

SNagrite Inspections
Our fully comprehensive snagging inspections are carried out by highly trained RPSA accredited surveyors with a minimum of 15 years of experience in the house-building industry.
Our thorough inspections identify poor workmanship, damage, and defects in new-build properties. From aesthetic issues through to building safety, breaches of building regulation's, and breaches of warranty provider standards. Inspections are non-invasive so do not cause any damage to your new home.
We present all the issues we find in a clear, easy to understand photographic report in PDF format which you can then issue to your developer. Each issue has a photograph, description and where applicable a warranty standard or building regulation that has been breached.
After issuing your report we will be there to help guide you with your developer and answer any questions or concerns you may have.
Our aim is to ensure your new home meets the standards you have paid for.
Inspection Process

Book online using the link below with only a £49 deposit. Inspection fees from £249 for a 2 bedroom property and just £299 for a 4 bedroom property.

We will carry out a thorough inspection of your new home inline with building regulations, warranty provider standards, and manufacturer guidance.

Following the inspection our RPSA accredited surveyor will compile a clear, easy to understand photographic report. Each item will have a photograph, a description and where appropriate they will identify a standard that has been broken.
Your report will be issued by 10pm the same day ready for you to forward to your developer.
Drone Survey Included
As Standard
At SNAGrite we include our drone survey on our post-completion inspections for no extra charge. Some companies charge extra for this service but at SNAGrite we don’t believe in charging extra for something that we believe should be part of a standard inspection.
*Weather permitting on the day of inspection and providing flight restrictions aren’t in place in your area
Basic Thermal Survey Included As Standard
At SNAGrite we also include a basic thermal survey as standard on post-completion inspections. This survey highlights issues relating to door and window seals, radiators and under floor heating systems. Some companies charge extra for this service whereas at SNAGrite we think this should also form part of a standard inspection.

How long does a typical inspection take?
Typical inspections can take from a few hours up to a full day depending on the size and complexity of your property. We’ll provide an estimated timeframe when you book.
Will I receive a written report?
Absolutely. Within 12 hours of the inspection, you’ll receive a PDF report complete with photographs, annotation and where applicable references to broken building regulations or standards.
Do I need to be present for the inspection?
Whilst we do recommend you being at the property during the inspection we can if needed meet you at your property and post a key on completion if you needed to go to work or go out during the day.
Do you offer a de-snagging service ?
Yes we offer a de-snag inspection within 12 months of your initial snagging survey.
What happens if I need to re-schedule ?
We understand things don’t always go to plan. Completion dates can change and there can be a lot of appointments to juggle when moving home. For this reason you can re-schedule your booking free of charge up to 3 days in advance.
